Working with Local School Children

Ginny with school children

We are also working with local school children, creating art and providing framed artworks to the local hospital, as well as working with the mayor in local school production and manufacturing of honey from our bees. This activity provides a way to learn about business and living in harmony with the earth. It raises awareness of the importance of bees and provides money for school projects.

"Medicinal Plant Study in Argentina"

Creativity Heals Foundation is currently offering the study of medicinal plants indigenous to Patagonia, in particular those used by the Mapuche natives. We will be utilizing the keen observation necessary in drawing to better know and understand these plants and ourselves. This is a form of Ethnobotany without the formal degrees. We have an associate that has written three volumes on the subject and speaks Mapuche thus enabling us to integrate with the people more easily and to understand their needs. Ethnobotany is the science that studies the interaction of indigenous and rural people with plants. This science is of increasing importance as we try to develop sustainable systems of land use.

"I believe the plants can heal us,
not only in the medicine they offer, but with their beauty.

As an artist drawing these plants, my energy is totally drawn to them. Undistracted, I truly see them, know them, and feel what they are offering
to us humans and to this earth.

Creating art puts me living in the moment without
anxieties for the future or regrets of the past."
